Saying Goodbye... Maybe...

Hey y’all!

It’s been a LONG time. Almost a year! I didn’t realize it had been so long since I last published something to this newsletter.

Last time I wrote to you, I said I was coming back and things were changing. Things have changed and this is a goodbye message.

When I was able to write something, I really enjoyed writing this newsletter breaking down different editing techniques and talking about editing.

But I let imposter syndrome get the best of me here. I kept wondering why should I be writing about editing when I’m not super successful at it. My goal was just to better understand it. And maybe that’s what should’ve been the guiding principle that kept me going.

It wasn’t and I had to focus on the work I needed to do for my business and staying a float. So I let this newsletter go to the wayside while I focused on other things all last year.

Now, I’ve made the decision that I’m letting this newsletter go while I start another one about the work I’m currently doing: Course trailers and product promos.

So if learning about how promos are strategized, planned, and edited interests you, reply to this email and I’ll add you to the new newsletter.

This new venture revolves around the business I’ve shifted to over the past year. I’ve been an editor for a few years, but last year I needed to decide which direction my business was heading. I found a niche in editing promos and trailers.

It’s a fun niche where I get to work on some pretty awesome projects with creators I would normally not meet. So if you decide to join, you’ll be learning all about:

  • How the top creators are using promos to help sell their products

  • The editing and planning strategies behind the top performing promos

  • How I craft high performing promos and trailers for my clients

  • And more…

If you decide not to join the new newsletter by replying, no worries! I’ll delete your data here so that I can respect your privacy.

I’m grateful that you chose to join this list when I was running it. And I’ll always be grateful for being able to create the content I did here.

Thank you all for being a part of this newsletter. I’ll be deleting everything on Monday, February 17th.

Cheers,

Andrew
